Use Label Studio to turn selected orders or manual quantities into saved label PDFs for your production work.

Plan availability: Pro. Label selection, dates, quantities, PDF generation, and reprinting work on a phone. Design authoring and setup use a desktop.

Start from your production work

Use Print labels from Orders, an eligible order, or Plan a bake to carry the selected orders into labeling. For market stock, extra production, or labels without an order, open Manage → Labels → Print labels and add product labels with manual quantities.

Set up a design, product labels, and matching label paper first. Printing does not mark orders fulfilled or change inventory, recipes, or order quantities.

Review labels and quantities

  1. Review the selected product labels and counts under Labels & quantities. Choose the matching Label paper for each label.
  2. Open label details and options to check size, flavor, wording, and any custom values. Resolve missing assignments or inconsistent order quantities before continuing.
  3. Enter When were these made? under Date & details. Supply any other required details and review ingredient or allergen acknowledgments.
  4. Preview the labels. Check every different product or layout for wording, dates, clipping, and the intended quantity.
  5. Generate the PDFs once the preview is correct. A run supports at most 1,000 labels; split larger jobs into separate runs.

Order-based counts use purchased packages and captured production pieces. Recipe batch rounding does not increase the label count. Changing the order selection starts a fresh print draft, so review dates and acknowledgments again.

Use explicit production dates

The made-on date is the date you provide, never an assumed pickup or delivery date. Best-before dates can use an offset explicitly saved on a product label. Check the resulting dates in the preview before printing.

Download and print at actual size

Open Print history when the run is ready. A run can contain separate PDFs for different paper types. Use the relevant Download PDF button and print at 100% / Actual size with the matching printer paper size.

Test a small quantity before printing a full batch. If positioning is wrong, check paper dimensions, margins, and gaps in Label paper, then use its alignment controls for a consistent offset.

Reprint or make a new run

Downloading a completed run again reprints its saved PDF, with the same artwork, wording, dates, and quantities. Later changes to a product, design, logo, or paper settings do not rewrite it. Start a new run for different dates, counts, wording, or stock.

Resolve a blocked preview or failed run

  • Missing detail: supply its value, correct the product-label assignment, or remove an unused field from the design.
  • Wording needs review: review the current product and recipe, correct the declaration or label-specific wording, and acknowledge only what you have checked.
  • Text does not fit: enlarge its text box, adjust font size, or simplify the layout without omitting required wording.
  • Paper does not match: choose stock with the same label dimensions as the design.
  • Unknown field or font: select a supported detail or available font in the editor.
  • Failed generation: follow the run’s retry option when available. A retry uses the saved inputs; corrected content needs a new run.

Team members can read designs and download completed runs. Creating or editing labels and generating runs requires an author, editor, admin, or owner role as well as feature access.
