Plan availability: Label Studio is a Pro feature, currently marked Beta. Create and edit designs on a desktop. You can select products, enter dates, generate PDFs, and reprint from a phone.

Start with a design

Open Manage → Labels → Designs. Choose Create a design for a blank label or Use bakery template for an editable 6 × 4 starter. Give the design a recognizable name and set its physical width, height, and shape to match the labels you will print on.

A design is reusable artwork. A product label connects that artwork to a product, size, or flavor. Label paper describes your roll or sheet. A print run combines those choices with quantities and dates.

Add the details you want to print

  1. Add text, rectangles, ovals, lines, images, a business logo, or a QR code using the editor tools.
  2. Select a text element and use Add product detail to insert changing values such as Product name, Size, Flavor, Ingredients, Allergens, Made-on date, Best-before date, or Storage instructions. Business and order details are also available.
  3. Adjust the font, point size, text-box height, spacing, and color. Leave enough space for the longest ingredient list or product name you sell.
  4. Use Layers, alignment, lock, and front/back controls to arrange the design. Shift-select elements to group them. Undo and Redo let you revise the layout.

Dynamic details appear as placeholders, such as {{productName}}, while editing. Use the field picker to choose supported details. For date fields, choose the date style you want customers to read.

Preview real product wording

Choose Preview label, then choose a sample product. The preview can show its published ingredient declaration and current allergen wording. Where available, choose a saved product label to preview its reviewed size or flavor details. Enter sample dates and any missing values, then check the full label.

Sample values do not change the template or create a print run. A missing field, unknown placeholder, unavailable font, or overflowing text must be corrected before production printing. Supply the value, resize or simplify the layout, or remove a field you do not need.

Save and reuse safely

The editor autosaves. Check the save status before leaving or printing. If a save fails, keep the page open and follow its recovery options. A recovered copy preserves your work separately when another revision conflicts.

Duplicate a design when you want a separate layout. Changing a design affects future runs; already generated PDFs keep their original artwork and values. The bakery template is a starting layout, so review your own wording before printing.
