Open the product formulation editor
From Recipes & Costs, choose the product, or open Product costs and select its formulation action.
If the product has no ingredients yet, choose Start with your first ingredient or Start with product ingredients. If you already have a library recipe, use Use a saved recipe, select Saved recipe, and enter Amount in one product.
- Choose the saved recipe or direct ingredient groups.
- Set the amount of recipe yield used by one sellable product.
- For variants, enter Amount sold in each option before saving mappings.
- Review the cost summary and warnings.
- Save the formula; apply any suggested selling price separately.
What customers see
Attaching a recipe changes operational cost calculations. It does not automatically publish a new ingredient statement or change the storefront price.
Common problems
- Recipe option is missing: only usable saved recipes appear in the picker; finish the recipe and mark it Ready to use.
- Formula is incomplete: follow each warning to the ingredient price, density, conversion, or variant mapping.
- A form option needs a different cost: use stable form field and option identities in the formulation conditions rather than duplicating the entire product.
