Recipes & Costs

Review and publish customer-facing ingredients

Keep operational costing separate from the ingredient wording customers see on the storefront.

Recipe changes do not publish automatically

Open the product formulation editor and find Storefront ingredients. When the formulation changed, the section shows Review needed. Customers continue seeing the last reviewed declaration until you publish the new wording.

  1. Review each public group and component.
  2. Edit wording to include the name customers expect or appropriate subingredients.
  3. Use Heaviest first as a starting point, or choose Custom order when your label requires it.
  4. Use Restore weight order when you want to return to the calculated order.
  5. Select Review and publish ingredients.

What customers see

The published declaration becomes the customer-facing ingredient statement. It is distinct from the live costing graph, so cost recalculation and public-copy publishing can happen at different times.

Common problems

  • New recipe ingredient is not visible: publish the stale declaration after reviewing it.
  • Weight is unavailable: add density or an explicit unit conversion for that ingredient.
  • Shared ingredient appears in more than one group: this is intentional when it applies to multiple public groups.
