Plan availability: Pro. External Payment Options require Pro. Square card checkout remains available on Free. The active production feature matrix is authoritative if an administrator changes an entitlement.

Enable a method

1. Open Payments.
2. Open the alternative payment method section.
3. Configure the exact customer-facing details for Cash App Direct, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Cash.
4. Save and review the checkout preview.

Understand manual payment timing

Manual methods can create an unpaid order while the customer completes payment outside Cottage CMS. Tracked global inventory is held immediately and restored when a wholly unpaid order is cancelled.

Common problems

• Payment method priority controls display order only; the explicit default is separate.
• Customers can be offered a method whose instructions are incomplete if the merchant saves a blank or stale handle.
• Repeated Confirm Payment actions must not double-decrement inventory.
