Plan availability: Free. Automated email categories are Free. Push requires Pro; event SMS requires Pro plus credits. Scale includes monthly SMS allowance. The active production feature matrix is authoritative if an administrator changes an entitlement.

Know the categories

The standard categories are new availability, products added, closing soon, orders open, and announcement. Each can be offered through push, email, SMS, or a combination.

Separate marketing from transactional messages

Order confirmations, payment reminders, fulfillment reminders, and review-request texts use separate transactional flows. Do not use an announcement preference as proof that a customer consented to order texts.

What customers see

Authenticated customers can manage offered channel/category preferences through the notification panel. Email-only visitors can opt in through double opt-in, while SMS requires phone verification and consent language.

Common problems

  • Hiding a channel from the merchant configuration does not delete stored preferences.
  • SMS STOP/START suppression and provider blocks override a saved preference.
  • Manual Compose sends snapshot their audience and channel choices when queued.
  • Email provider bounces can suppress an address across optional categories.
