Start with the customer decision
Open a product's Product Options, or add choices in the product wizard's Price & choices step. Choose Customize an item for a flavor, Add extras for optional additions, or Fill a box for a fixed assortment.
Use Choose quantities or Use existing products when buyers purchase independently priced quantities. Use Product Forms for messages, instructions, and other answers.
Configure a group
- Give the group a clear customer-facing name.
- Add choice names and optional photos.
- Read the price label before entering amounts. Some simple choices show the total selling price; other groups show an adjustment to the product or size price. Enter zero for an included adjustment.
- Set minimum, exact, maximum, repeat, and increment rules where appropriate. Use size-specific rules when different box sizes need different counts.
- Use Try your choices to check valid selections and the displayed total.
Save, review, and publish
In an existing product's option editor, save the option draft and complete the publication review before making changes available to customers. Resolve any validation, recipe, or conversion issue the review identifies. Creating an active product in the wizard makes its choices available with it; a draft keeps its choices unpublished.
Set stock and recipes after saving
Choice stock is unlimited until you configure limits in Planner. Choose the correct weekly or drop scope. In Recipes & Costs, connect choices to their ingredients and review an example item's cost. Cost suggestions do not change selling prices until you explicitly apply them.
What customers and orders retain
Customers use the published choices and current selection rules. Orders retain their captured choices and labels so later editing does not rewrite the order's instructions. Review saved choices when editing or copying an order.
Existing forms
If a product still uses a form for priced choices, use its conversion assistant and review retained questions and recipe mappings before publishing. Existing answers are not automatically reinterpreted as new product options.
