Choose what to block

Planner supports full-date blocks and regular product-specific blocks. A full-date block can apply to all locations or one location. Its Apply To choices include Weekly Schedule, Specific Dates/Drops, and optionally customer subscriptions.

  1. Open Planner and start the blocked-date action.
  2. Select a start and end date.
  3. Choose a location or leave Apply to Location as All Locations.
  4. Add an optional Reason, such as Thanksgiving Holiday or Summer Vacation.
  5. Choose the schedules the block should affect, then save.

Use a product-specific block when one Weekly Schedule product is unavailable while other products should remain orderable.

What customers see

Blocked dates are removed from the relevant ordering choices. A block scoped only to Weekly Schedule does not automatically block a Specific Date/Drop, and vice versa.

Common problems

  • Customers can still order on a holiday: verify the block’s Apply To selection and location scope.
  • A subscription date was already skipped: removing the block may offer a choice to keep occurrences deleted or restore missing occurrences; read that confirmation carefully.
  • You blocked too much: use the narrowest location and schedule scope, or use a product-specific block.
