Open the drawer
On a phone the sidebar is a drawer. Tap the menu button at the top left to open it; it fills the screen and closes as soon as you choose a page. The same four groups, pins, search (Looking for something?), and Settings link are inside it, and the pin buttons are always visible so you can pin the pages you use most without hovering.
One main action per page
Each page's main action floats at the bottom right, above the bottom bar, where your thumb can reach it: New drop in Drops & hours, Add in Products, Create Customer, Create Coupon, Issue gift card, New page, New post, Compose Announcement, Quick sale in Orders, Add location, and Reply in an email thread. On a desktop the same button leads the row at the top of the page. Secondary actions move into a ⋮ menu or into the page's own menu, such as the Planner menu in Drops & hours.
Tables become cards
Wide tables (Customers, Coupons, Gift cards, Store credit, Pages and Posts, Locations, the analytics daily activity table, and tax rates) show each row as a card. The row's actions sit in a ⋮ menu at the top right of the card, with the destructive action last. Form submissions show at most two buttons plus a menu.
Long lists load in pages
Products and Recipes show 24 items at a time with Showing X of Y products and a Load more button. Searching narrows the list and updates the address bar, so you can return to the same filtered view later. This applies on every screen size.
Orders on a phone
Quick sale starts with a search instead of a product grid. Type a product name, or choose a market or drop, and the matching products appear (Type to find a product until then).
The manual-order wizard shows its progress as one line, Step N of M, instead of a strip of step names.
An order's detail page shows one floating next step: Record Payment while payment is pending, then Mark In Progress, Mark Prepared, or Mark Completed, and otherwise Print Packing Slip. Everything else, with Cancel Order and Refund last, is in the ⋮ menu under the order title.
A customer's page shows contact and customer details first; Email, Text Message, and Order History are collapsed until you open them.
Forms and saving
Settings forms (Business Information, SEO Settings, Account Settings, and Loyalty) show a sticky Save bar at the bottom of the screen once you change something, so you do not have to scroll back up. The product editor keeps Update Product in a sticky footer in the same way. Inputs are tall enough to tap and do not zoom the page when you type.
Help on a phone
The bottom bar shortens Help & support to Help. The Help page offers an Open the knowledge base button instead of an embedded knowledge base. Copilot opens over the page; docking to the side or bottom is a desktop option.
Common problems
I cannot find a button that an article mentions. Look at the bottom right for the floating action, then in the ⋮ menu under the page or row title.
The product list seems short. Scroll to Load more under the grid, or search for the product.
Label designs do not fit the screen. Label Studio designs are built on a desktop; selecting products, dates, and quantities, generating PDFs, and reprinting work on a phone.
