Closing is different from pausing
Open Dashboard > Settings > Account and read the Danger Zone before choosing Close Account Permanently. Use a downgrade or billing cancellation when you need to stop a subscription but may return. Closing is for a deliberate end to the account.
Plan availability: Closing an account removes access regardless of Free, Pro, Scale, or Legacy Lifetime status. Before closing, review paid domains, email, Square, customer data, posts, pages, products, and other services that may have separate terms or renewal state.
Complete the safety checklist
- Use Account Data Download and securely retain the export.
- Review Billing for subscriptions, invoices, scheduled changes, and managed domain renewals.
- Disconnect or reconcile Square and other integrations before attempting closure.
- Review domain-branded email and domain ownership; closing the platform account does not automatically reverse registrar terms.
- Choose the exit feedback, enter the current password, type the literal confirmation word DELETE, and select Close Account Permanently.
What customers see
Closing removes the tenant storefront and dashboard access. Treat every public URL, order record, customer message, domain mapping, and email route as unavailable after closure unless a separate provider still owns it.
Common problems
- The close control is disabled. The account cannot close while an active platform subscription or Square connection still requires resolution.
- I only wanted to stop monthly billing. Use Billing to cancel or schedule a Free downgrade instead of closing the account.
- The password is rejected. Confirm the current password and do not share it with support or another team member.
- I forgot a domain or mailbox. Review Website Address and Email Settings before closure; domain and mailbox obligations may continue separately.
